We’re offering FREE DELIVERY on all orders of £50 or over.
Please note we do not currently deliver at weekends and UK bank holidays.
Orders placed before 1pm (UK time) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday will be shipped the same day for arrival the next day (excluding bank holidays and high seasons). If you place your order after 1pm, your order will ship the next possible business day if we are not in a high season. Orders placed on a Friday before 12pm (please note 12pm cut-off, not 1pm as per Monday - Thursday) will arrive on the following Monday.

Yes. You can add a personal touch to all gifts. You will be able to add your personal gift message on the cart page or cart drawer when you clicked the cart logo. Your personal gift message can be up to 300 characters.
There are a few reasons an order can be returned to sender but most often it is due to an incorrect address. Please get in touch with Godiva UK through our customer center if you receive information regarding your parcel being returned to sender.

Missing Items: In the event that a customer faces an issue with their order due to missing items, we will take the following steps:

Product Changes: If a customer wishes to change a product within their order, they should follow these steps:

You can always get in contact with the Customer Service for receiving invoice of your order. We don't send an invoice within the order while delivering it.

Allergy & Product Information
If you have a dairy allergy, it’s best you don’t consume GODIVA products.
The most common allergies are to peanuts, tree nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, macadamias), milk, soy lecithin, and gluten. Although the evidence is slim, some people may be allergic to chocolate itself. People who should not eat Godiva Chocolates include: Anyone with a nut allergy since the nut oils transfer from mold to mold. Anyone who believes he or she is allergic to chocolate.
Due to the wide range of world-class ingredients that go into all our beautifully crafted chocolates, all our products may contain traces of nuts and/or peanuts. If you have a nut allergy, it’s recommended you don’t consume GODIVA chocolate.
Sure, it is possible to be allergic to chocolate, but true chocolate allergies are very rare. It's much more likely someone will be allergic to an ingredient in a chocolate product. On the contrary, it has a beneficial effect on cholesterolemy. Indeed, after assimilation, cocoa produces 72% unsaturated fatty acids, which reduce cholesterol levels and clean the arteries. And it contains only 20% saturated fatty acids which have the opposite effect. The amount of cholesterol in dark chocolate is negligible. In milk chocolate, it varies from 15 to 18 mg per 100 g which is insignificant. But of course we are talking only of chocolate whose fat content is 100% cocoa butter, like Godiva chocolate.
The liver, contrary to popular opinion, is not involved in indigestion. It is a de-intoxication point for substances which damage the organism, notably venous fungus, alcohol and certain drugs. When too many fatty foods are consumed it is in fact the stomach and the digestive tract which are affected. Chocolate is often blamed when it has been consumed at the end of an unbalanced meal. At Christmas and Easter, for example, indigestion is actually caused by increased fat intake (foie gras, sauces, cakes etc.).
Yes and so chocolate is beneficial currently, at a time when our daily magnesium requirement, which we need for good neuro-muscular function, is barely covered by our food intake.
All Godiva chocolates are vegetarian.
As we work with so many different ingredients, we can’t guarantee our products don’t contain any gluten. If you have a gluten allergy, it’s best you don’t consume GODIVA chocolate.
Most of our carefully considered chocolates and other GODIVA products are dairy based. Because of this, none of them are vegan friendly.
All Godiva products made in Belgium are halal certificated as indicated by the logo. This certification is done by an HFCE (Halal Food Council of Europe) auditor. In consequence, they do not contain alcohol, pork or pork derivatives. You can find more about our halal chocolate products here.
This certification is done by the Orthodox Union after the visit and control of an accredited Rabbi. Currently, only a part of our products are kosher certificated, however, we are working to extend the kosher certification to all our products and assortment made in Belgium. Chocolate does not often have a ‘use by date’ as it does not contain any bacteria that could make it go ‘bad’. This being said, if the chocolate you’re eating does have a use by date on, we recommend contacting the particular provider to make sure that it is safe to eat past that date.
Yes, chocolate does contain caffeine but only in small amounts. This also differs in different brands, the type of chocolate and where the cacao beans are sourced. This being said, however, you don’t have to worry about the caffeine in chocolate harbouring the same effects of your morning cup of coffee. You would have to eat quite a lot of chocolate for it to have a similar effect as coffee, so it is best not to worry about your caffeine intake when enjoying a Godiva treat.
White chocolate is always up for debate as to whether it is really chocolate. This is because white chocolate is often made with a blend of cocoa butter, sugar, cream and vanilla. Although it is made from the same cocoa bean as milk and dark chocolate, it contains no cocoa solids, meaning there is a lot of speculation as to whether it is actually chocolate.
Chocolate can be melted in different ways, whether that's on the stove or in the microwave. However, we’re going to tell you how to melt it on a stove.
Read the instructions below:
First, get your chocolate of choice. We try not to be biased, but we do recommend a Godiva chocolate bar. Break it up and put it into a heat safe bowl that is the right size to fit on top of a pan.
Take your pan and fill it up with water, then pop it on the stove and bring it to a very light simmer.
Place your bowl of chocolate on top of the pan, but make sure that the pan is not touching the water.
Gently melt your chocolate to your desired consistency, stirring continuously and being careful not to burn it.

If it’s our mistake, we’ll be sure to have a solution as soon as humanly possible. However, we’re not responsible for faults resulting from environmental factors outside of our control.

Care and Storage
To bring your chocolates back to ideal melt in your mouth temperature, keep them in plastic bags until the entire package comes to room temperature. This will take approximately two hours if stored in the refrigerator, and six hours if stored in the freezer.
We’ve spent years mastering the art of preservation. Your GODIVA chocolate should be enjoyed before it reaches its best before date.
You can find the expiration date on every chocolate package. Some items on sales & deals may have close Best Before Dates (BBDs), and these BBDs will be included in the product description on the product detail page. Other than sales & deals page all Godiva chocolates have more than 60 days BBDs. Godiva UK has the right to sell and deliver products under sales & deals collection until at least 2 weeks before the BBD date. We do not offer refunds for chocolate approaching its BBD.
Remember, the Best Before Date (BBD) and Expiry Date are different from each other. Expiry dates inform consumers of the last day a product is safe to consume. On the other hand, the Best Before Date indicates that the food is no longer in its perfect condition from that date; however, it remains absolutely safe to consume.
Once opened, all our chocolates are designed to be blissfully devoured within two weeks, if stored below 18°C. Here are a few ways keep your GODIVA products in wonderful condition:
- Nothing ruins great chocolate faster than heat – avoid humidity and direct sunlight. - For freshness of unopened products, please check the best before date (BBD). - Never leave your handcrafted chocolates in the car. - And please, don’t store your precious chocolates near odours.
